Job description
The product development manager will report directly to the General Manager, Operation to lead the overall new product development initiatives and continue to enhance the market attractiveness of existing product ranges.
Essential Functions / Core Responsibilities
- Handle/Launch brands - Development through to Implementation stage.
- Plan strategies and work closely with marketing and operation team to ensure successful launches.
- Increase brand size by developing new ideas and strategies.
- Ensure brand profitability.
- Possess broad vision, creativity and product knowledge.
- Position products properly.
- Sound knowledge of Products.
- Have training ability.
Requirement
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, business or commerce.
- 5-6 years of experience in Marketing Management/ Product Development within FMCG sector.
- Significant experience in end to end category management.
- Strong organizational capability.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with a wide variety of external and internal stakeholders.
- Effective project management skills.
- Strong computing skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Excellent financial analysis skills.
- Understanding of broad and complex distribution channels.
